Driving from Gaborone/ Francistown/ Kasane/ Nata/ Gweta/ Rakops
Our Discovery B&B is basically straight all the way.
You will be entering Maun from the industrial side and get to traffic lights… go straight. You will find another set of traffic lights… also at this traffic lights you go straight.
Keep on going straight for approx. 8 kilometers.
You will get to a small roundabout/ traffic circle and take this one straight as well. Yes…. We have to be honest it’s not completely straight, but you take the second turn to your left!
This road takes you towards Shorobe/ Moremi Game Reserve. After 5 kilometers from this roundabout/ traffic circle ….You will find our sign on the left side of the tarred road.
Turn left into this gravel/ sandy road and after approx. 200 meters turn left at our small sign and after about 100 meters you will find our gate/ welcome sign and parking on your right-hand side.
Driving form Shakawe/ Ghanzi/ Sehitwa/ Toteng/ Komana
You kind of have to drive all the way (straight) through town/ Maun.
Almost the first thing you will notice = the Maun Sports complex on your right hand side.
You keep on going straight until you get to a “busy” town center.
Continue straight where you will get to a traffic circle/ roundabout, take the second turn to the left (basically go straight).
You will see/ notice the police station on your right hand side. Keep on going straight, you pass Engen filling station + Wimpy (left hand side). From here it’s about 10 kilometers straight.
You get to a small traffic circle/ roundabout….at this traffic circle/ roundabout you turn left. This road takes you towards Shorobe/ Moremi Game Reserve. After 5 kilometers from this roundabout/ traffic circle ….You will find our sign on the left side of the tarred road.
Turn left into this gravel/ sandy road and after approx. 200 meters turn left at our small sign and after about 100 meters you will find our gate/ welcome sign and parking on your right-hand side.
Driving from Moremi Game Reserve/ South Gate/ Khwai/ Savute/ Mababe/Shorobe
Drive the way / road towards Maun. (It’s long and gravel/ sandy)
You will get to a veterinarian gate. From this gate it’s about 42 kilometers to Discovery B&B. The road is straight and until just before the village of Shorobe gravel/sand.
From Shorobe village the road is tarred.
You will pass Thamalakane River Lodge, on your right hand side, approx. 4 kilometers before our turnoff. Approx. 500 meters before our sign there is an Internet/ network tower on your left-hand side.
Turn right into this gravel/ sandy road and after approx. 200 meters turn left at our small sign and after about 100 meters you will find our gate/ welcome sign and parking on your right-hand side.
